Does the material checkout specified in pipelines use the gocd user?

Also is material checked out on both agent and server?

worstadmin: yes, it should be as the go user, unless you have configured Go to run as another user

worstadmin: the material is only checked out on the agent

tedbot: The material is checked out on the server as well (in case of distributed version control systems such as git), so that the server can poll. It's mentioned here as well: https://www.go.cd/getting-started/part-1/#concept2

Try ${GO_REVISION} instead.

How do I completely restart a pipeline from stage 1?
