Thoughts on nesting two components vs extending from one (to create a highly specialized component)?

my ember-cli version is pretty far back, 0.2.2, and using ember 1.11 still - can i upgrade ember-cli without also upgrading ember? im interested in pushing ember-cli forward, but ember itself I need to do 1 version at a time

whats the best approach here?

If I'm iterating on an array in a template, and I do an array splice on the underlying data, the array that the template depends on is a computed property that is going to be totally rebuilt right? An entire re-rendering of the DOM.

Does an item in an ArrayObject contain information about it's index?

because i've some constraints on the place where i want to implement ember

that are unusual enough

to be unable tu find any help online

is there anybody able to help me?

my constarint is that

i can't use node

nor ember-cli

nor any other command-line tool

not even git

and, I want to use Ember anyway
