Hi guys. I am new to Docker. I am trying do base my own Image on "php:fpm" - works fine when using the image directly in docker-compose.yml. But when I just use FROM php:fpm and nothing else in my Dockerfile - should this be the same output than using the image directly?

thedave: yes since the image is in the cache
thedave: but since you now have a Dockerfile, you should change the "image:" from docker-compose.yml to "build: ." (or change . to wherever your Dockerfile is)

hi, I have a bit of an issue to push with docker-py https://arnaudb.net/paste/?9f146d8a7c81bc30#pik... whenever I try to push an image like this, the lib returns me that it's trying to push on docker.io instead of my own registry

@niluje thanks for that. I doesn't seem to produce the same output (image vs build with empty Dockerfile) - strange
Maybe it better to use the image and, instead of rebuild it, use the command to inject own dependencies?
