i am looking for help with docker diff, specifically how to get the list of filesystem changes of intermittant docker build steps. I can easily identify the image in question (with docker images -a) but how do i get the changes made to that image? docker diff requires a container. if i start the image and docker diff the resulting container i get a wrong diff.

Hi I am little mixed up the docker client code ... trying to understand how pullRepository() get called from the docker client ?

Is this expected flow ... even when the registry v2 is configured, and docker daemon is started with legacy registry disabled ??
