I need to start tracking my invoices and expenses a bit better

I just did a full fledged corporate integration for it, and now I'm looking at using it for personal

we did use it for a bit

The corporate integration stuff was pretty good

There are a few limitations with the API though, like you cant amend invoices once they are created

last I heard you can't even rely on the data they send you being permitted back as valid

Maybe, it was an interesting experience

Their "resource matching" rules have this undocumented preference which took a lot of figuring out

So, for example, a Sales account will have an account number, (eg 203) and a UUID. The sales number can be changed manually, so it is mutable, but the UUID of the account never changes - BUT the API will take preference of the account number vs the uuid

Its very annoying

What it means in practice is you need to always do this weird path of logic, like pull down all "current" accounts, match on UUID, check if account number has changed, and then issue the invoice

Would probably be a good tutorial to write for someone writing their first async integration
