Is there any Django plugin for unit testing your Django migrations?

I want to automate the testing of new migration. I think running tests on production data is required but I want to apply first unit level of test with a reason that forking production data and preparing the staging db will take time. I think it will be good idea to first apply unit test to identify any problems early and then move to production data testing if that is going fine

anyhoo the "it was touted" line i wrote was more aboot the hn submission, to clarify

but the idea is common practice at least in the sense of unit testing then doing system level tests with actual data & what not
