how do i do something equivalent to {% import app.models %} from within a template?

(i've got a constant on a model that the the template needs ({% if var == Model.STATUS_SUBSCRIBED %})

oh? so i'd use context? does that mean I could pass a module within the context ? context = {models: base.models } ?

You could, but I'd never recommend it. Pass the data you actually need.

or context = { SubsciberModel: base.models.Subscriber } ? And then just use it directly? {% if SubscriberModel.STATUS_ %} ?
