When an exception is thrown, I get emailed a bunch of information and the stack trace. Which logger does that use?

If I need to give the user the ability to update fields on his UserProfile model, but don't want to expose all the other UserProfile fields (like last 4 digits of credit card), should I just show only those fields I want in the template? Is there any risk to creating the UserProfile ModelForm when there are sensitive fields I want hidden?

rns: you can specify which fields you want or exclude fields
how can I work on that? I have already forked on github, created the branch etc

I have a model (say items) s where one field is 'credits', a user has a given number of credits. When iterating over the items I need to set an attribute on the item to tell if the user has enough credits left. User credits are reduced on each iteration of items.

@bradleyayers shall I make the virtualenv for that? and start a sample project?
theneb
Should I be using a model manager or something similar to represent this logic?
bradleyayers
mhaligowski: hmm, i dont think you need to
mhaligowski: you should be able to just run the tests from the django clone
Ah, for my question I would presume a QuerySet Manager will be the best path. Where I can pass in an argument of the current credits and that can then be reduced :)

admin/ is nice on smaller sites, where you don't want to add C[R]UD yourself.
But I guess, if you have done that, there's no need for admin/.

I personally always include the module. If only as a backup.
