ogd: i think its nice and simple (and modular) - there is probably is a small perf overhead (since we chunk blobs when multiplexing) but i don't think it's something that matters - we could bench that at some point

ogd: and as long as the handshake declares which data transfer protocol to use we could swap it later on

JSON_voorhees: mafintosh theres a s3-blob-store, and an fs-blob-store, but the blob-store api doesnt really have the concept of directories

JSON_voorhees: which would implement the fs api on top of the blob store api

JSON_voorhees: then you could use the s3-blob-store to do the s3 parts

if s3-blob-store works with subfolder keys like 'foo/bar' it would work

it looks like it should work find with subfolder keys

from what i remember s3 just accepts those as normal keys
