feross: what would be the easiest way i could add STUN to https://github.com/maxogden/screencat#how-it-works (it uses simple-peer)

ogd: it already uses STUN (that's required by webrtc)

feross: do i just need to add one of the free STUN servers out there to the ice candidates config when i initialize it? is it okay if two diff peers use a diff ice candidate?

are you talking about TURN (a relay server)

ogd: the default is to use the google stun server

there is a stun server, but simple-peer just uses a default one

if you're concerned about scenarios where peers can't connect directly to each other, then you need a relay server

this guarantees your app is more reliable

i added one to instant.io recently

you can set up your own relay server (TURN) if you want, or just use a paid service

i am just paying twilio like 5 cents a month
