finnp: yeah, I agree that it is a bit hard to use. i think we might be able to make something like it but better at some point

there are actually a WHOLE lot of "data pipeline" products that are trying to do this now using a graphical approach.

yeah i like the concept, but the implementation is not easy

ogd: so i've been in docker-land recently, and there are some pretty cool + free docker workflows for publishing apps as docker containers automatically

have you done any of that for dat?

if not, we should go through some of it

ogd: push a commit to github, and automatically a new docker container builds and publishes

groundwater_: oh so basically keeping your thing on the docker registry in sync with github?

ogd: yah, and the docker registry supports that

you can create build triggers

groundwater_: can you figure it to only do that when package.json version changes?

i'm already a bit depressed about the fact that i wont be able to buy seaweed chips in denmark

ogd: if you dat clone [remote] and at the same time dat cat in same folder dat cat doesn't print anything

ogd: its probably because the implicit dat listen stuff doesn't work with clone since the dat hasn't been initialized yet. if i do dat init + dat pull it works
