sphinxc0re: I'm in a "I don't know where to shoot" situation when it comes to minecraft
      • mostly because the bedrock thinghy
      • Minecraft Education runs on top of bedrock on macOS, but there's no minecraft PE for macOS
      • Microsoft promised releasing an official server for PE "soon"
      • and then some cool kids at ProtocolSupport are retrofitting PE clients into spigot servers
      • java redstone is better, PE is better at modding (aka not having to ask people to install forge)
      • I mean, the minecraft community is fragmented as hell
      • and with that comes duplicated effort etc
      • I still want to build that distributed minecraft server utopia, but I don't know where to aim at
      • C++ for cuberite or microsoft official server for PE? C# for MiNET? Java for Spigot, GlowStone, Nukkit, [insert spigot fork here]? PHP for pocketmine?
      • had to vent it out somewhere
