Well I have to think about where I use the 200$

the first ~$40 is used to keep the website/buildserver online
anything over that up to ~$100 is used for bounties on issues
and more than that can be taken by contributors as a bonus (that's never happened though)

Great, then I'll write something and submit it. Digital ocean pays 100$ for tutorials >800 words and 200$ for >1500 words. Maybe I will write another one for ssl certificates for the webserver part.

As for wolf breeding, I think it won't be long till it's fixed, I'm actively working on mobs right now.

I am not working on protocol support, and never did. I don't know who, if anyone, is working on that at the moment
We don't really even have 1.9 support. 1.9 clients can log in and play, but that's about it. There are almost no 1.9 features.
