      • why do I have 85 loaded chunks if I am alone at the server and havve a render distance of 2 chunks? Or does the server cache all the chunks if I selected a maximun view distance of 12 chunks?
      • SphinxC0re
At the moment, the server caches all chunks you've walked on in 5 Minutes. After that, the saving process kicks in and saves dirty chunks to HDD. After that inactive chunks are freed
      • "At the moment" means, that LogicParrot is working on a way to optimize this
      • bearbin, are you aware of the community meeting on 31st ?
      • RonGranger
        ah thank you :D
      • SphinxC0re
You are welcome. Small private server or dedicated one?
      • RonGranger
i host in on my laptop :D - I currently have no plans to make a public server but I wanted to test cuberite. Sometimes i play together with friends and I don't like Java so Cuberite is the best solution
      • SphinxC0re
On which version of Minecraft are you playing
      • RonGranger
        1.8.9
      • SphinxC0re
        Very good
      • RonGranger
but a friend tried with 1.9
      • SphinxC0re
We support the protocol but we lack in features atm
      • RonGranger
I know - but it is working with only 1.9 - the most problem is using 2 different client versions :D
      • SphinxC0re
Exactly. We are currently trying to find a solution for that problem
      • RonGranger
I tested with a friend and he found alot of little bugs. He asked here yesterday if he should create issues for every bug he found but got no answer...
      • SphinxC0re
      • Okaz
      • Okay
      • Well then you should tell him that bug reports really help us getting a bigger picture of the current feature situation
      • RonGranger
        I did ;-)
      • SphinxC0re
        Sad
      • :(
      • RonGranger
the largest problems are with terrain generating, minecarts and redstone.
      • SphinxC0re
        Wtf?
      • Terrain generation?
      • RonGranger
but he already created a longer and more detailed list - I think he'll report them later
      • SphinxC0re
What could possibly be wrong with terrain generation?
      • RonGranger
if you load an existing world and add new chunks it looks a bit weird
      • SphinxC0re
        Oh
      • RonGranger
and rails in mines are often turned in the wrong direction
      • SphinxC0re
Yeah that's because Cuberite is using it's own terrain generator
      • Which is much better than the vanila one
      • RonGranger
-i know - and this is great. But there are some bugs :D
      • but i like it - the access to the mines from villages and the mills and the houses ...
      • SphinxC0re
        We even got Japanese villages
      • and underwater bases
      • RonGranger
        really?
      • SphinxC0re
        yes
      • you just have to enable them in the world settings
      • RonGranger
some villages created underwater bases but they looked a bit buggy ;-)
      • SphinxC0re
There might be some cases where underwater bases are a bit buggy
      • you are right
      • RonGranger
I meant that there are houses in villages under the water :D http://imgur.com/a/BzzTr
      • SphinxC0re
        That actually looks pretty nice. It's not a bug - it's a feature ;)
      • RonGranger
        I guessed that aswell :D
      • the most interesting bug is that you can "lock" a block for using redstoen...
      • I mean the repeater - normal redstone works

      • are you able to join a server with authentication?
      • SphinxC0re
        ?
      • RonGranger
I want to show you some bugs
      • SphinxC0re
I'm sorry, but I don't have time at the moment
      • bearbin: bump
      • RonGranger
        ok
      • SphinxC0re
        So, see you, bye

Derp, I was on the wrong channel so I didn't notice all of the talking..
      • RonGranger
        happebs to me often aswell
      • happens
      • but more bad is posting sth into wrong channel ;-)
      • PureTryOut
RonGranger, I had that issue as well (villager houses spawning under water) in one of my test worlds, quite an interesting bug :p
