SphinxC0re, are you running a machine with german windows at all?
-
SphinxC0re
No?
-
tycho
Just wondering from the .de.
-
SphinxC0re
No I'm running Arch Linux
-
tycho
I'm trying to get as much info as I can to sort out #2498/
-
Yes, I'm now running linux as host as well at last.
-
So sorting out weird unicode issues using only MSDN is a little fidly.
-
SphinxC0re
Do we finally want to take this step?
-
tycho
me and xoft think its still to big a jump.
-
SphinxC0re
It really is
-
tycho
tigers pushing it.
-
SphinxC0re
Yeah he is all for it
-
tycho
He's even installed Chinese on his machine as a test case.
-
SphinxC0re

-
Man tiger is really pushing it
-
tycho
I'm helping, but ensuring we've got enough tests before merging.
-
So far we've got to displaying the right number of box's on the console from a test program.
-
SphinxC0re
We should have at least the 10 most commonly used encodings testes
-
s/testes/tested
-
Do you mean the ASCII box? This will probably wor all the time
-
s/wor/work
-
tycho
Only we don't know if its ascii.
-
SphinxC0re
Got it
-
tycho
And hes outputting a unicode wide string, so straight ASCII munging could easily result in 12 box's. So thats a success.

-
Or even worse 12 random ascii chars.
