The catch is, I would like to pay in Bitcoin. Do you know anyone who would be interested in that trade. If they were really interested, I,would be happy to meet in person and provide my drivers license/passport too.

IRC-Source_97639: I recommend contacting a bunch of random dealers that have the coin you want until you find one that will accept bitcoin.

IRC-Source_97639: Another alternative is to find a friend who will buy the coin for you in exchange for bitcoin.

I did something like that recently.

I tried eBay. They sellers were polite but no one was interested in Bitcoin.

It's important to have a good relationship with your dealers, after you find a few you can stick with. You can have your favorite dealer buy one for you.

That would be my max. Actually, my preference would be ungraded. I just want to fill the slot in my penny collection.

You're very unlikely to get a good deal that way. I highly recommend getting a specimen that is authenticated and graded by PCGS, NGC, ANACS, or ICG.

There are a lot of fakes of the 1856 flying eagle cent, and a lot of damaged ones too.

High grade ones never stay ungraded, so the remaining ungraded ones are more likely to have serious problems.

Basically, everything good has already been graded in the last 30 years, so the only ones that are still ungraded are all the leftover crap.

If you're not in a hurry, I might enjoy shopping for one for you, and I'm interested in getting some bitcoin, maybe.

I would have to go through the hassles of converting the bitcoin to cash, and then doing all the research and leg work to find a quality specimen.
