Basically, you just change the settings from using your ISP's DNS, to using Google's DNS. DNS is the service that converts website addresses to IP numbers.
Jeruuu
I mean it is fix because I can access all other sites, right?
badon
Jeruuu: You can watch the videos there.
DNS is one kind of problem that might result in issues on only a few sites.
Jeruuu
Videos where?
badon
In the Google search URL I gave you.
Jeruuu
I don't see any google search url
badon
Hmm, but that doesn't explain why Tor won't work.
Jeruuu
maybe if I just stop now will it resume tomorrow?
badon
I'm not sure what's wrong on your end. Can you call your ISP for support?
I better check our site's DNS too, that could be the reason.
Jeruuu
Haha been trying to contact them since the other day, no one is answering
OH well
badon
One moment.
Jeruuu
this is a bit frustrating.. guess I'll just stop for an hour or two. maybe they will all go back to normal then
badon
Jeruuu: Which site works for you?
Jeruuu
china mint, ebay, ngc, pcgs, stacks, barcode decoder, hid me, extv
...
eztv
gmail, clash of clans, clash royale, line, group me, facebook..
badon
Hmm, if KiwiIRC isn't working, that means it isn't a problem with our sites.
I'm betting it's your ISP. I have bad ISP's too, so I use 2 of them. Then I can switch if I have problems with one ofthem.
You tried restarting Tor Browser? Does it give you an error message?
Jeruuu
OK it is for me too
in FF too
I'll get to all later, after ice cream
badon
I see you're online at the LBC forum.
OK, enjoy :)
Jeruuu
I need ice cream
badon
Me too, I'm going out right now :)
Yum! I want coconut.

question if anyone knows; the tubing used in vending machines, etc that coins role though. what is it called?
badon
hi nug700|2
nug700|2
hello
badon
nug700|2: I have no idea. I'm betting it doesn't have a dictionary name. It probably only has a jargon name, that can vary by the manufacturer. They probably just give it names like "Part25 version 3".
nug700|2
"transfer pipe"
badon
Sounds good :)
nug700|2
except that usually brings up results for storage tubes :P
badon
Are you looking for replacement parts?
nug700|2
looking to build a coin sorter
badon
Oh boy, from scratch?
That's not a trivial problem.
Good quality coin sorters are pretty complex, and quite expensive.
The reason why is because they're designed to deal with a variety of weights, sizes, thicknesses, etc.
Taking into account things like wear, dirt, etc just explodes the complexity.
nug700|2
well it's only sorting pennies
badon
Looking for copper ones?
nug700|2
yea
badon
It might be cheaper to buy one. I seem to remember seeing them on ebay and Amazon.
How many are you trying to sort?
nug700|2
a lot
badon
I did the math on it in the past, and I couldn't come up with an economical way to do it, even if I did it all by hand and didn't buy any hardware for it.
nug700|2
well I bought a CC-16D coin sorter, which can sort like 300 per minute.
I just need to figure out how to transfer the pennies into the sorter
badon
You know, there's probably some genius out there that figured out how to do it with a pool noodle and a rubber band.
nug700|2
I could possibly do it out of card board
badon
Are you in the USA, I'm assuming?
nug700|2
yea
badon
Do you know if there are still enough of them in circulation to make it worthwhile? There are a lot people who have probably sucked them out.
nug700|2
there's like 1/5 still
badon
That's a fair number.
nug700|2
wheat pennies are like 1/200
badon
not bad.
Will the banks exchange your coins without having them rolled? Last I heard they wouldn't accept them unless they're pre-counted and rolled, which means you would need an automatic coin roller too.
nug700|2
hm don't they have machines that can count them unrolled?
badon
No, not at most banks.
They're expensive, and they don't want to help you make money at their expense.
They used to have them in the 1960's, but after the debasement away from silver 1965, they stopped bothering with it.
