Get Hexchat or mIRC or something if you want to explore IRC some more. There's a lot here.

Actaully, you can do the exploring with the web chat. If you want to stay connected so you don't miss anything, get mIRC or Hexchat or something like that.

There's the Mozilla network for the Firefox people, OFTC for Tor and other related things, Quakenet for gamers, tfes for flat earthers, etc, etc.

Hexchat can do all of them simultaneously. Webchat can only do Freenode. Freenode is the best though.
