#celery

hi there, I am using kombu’s simplequeue in a webapp to publish on rabbitmq

and quite often i get a connection error lke this when publishing a message ConnectionError: Operation on closed connection

right now I am using the same instance of SimpleQueue (its defined in a python module)

is that OK? or should I instanciate a new one everytime?

Is celery going to support priority queues in rabbitmq? https://www.rabbitmq.com/priority.html

The faq says rabbitmq does not support them yet, but as i can see it now does support priotised messages

anyone have any idea about my previous question? (ConnectionError on SimpleQueue.put)

jaapz: often it is better to use different queue, possibly on another broker..

btw, is rabbit3.5 working right for you guys? i am afraid to upgrade my 3.3, 3.4 was disasterous for me...

am I correct in thinking there is one celeryev queue for every worker>

frasergraham: I believe there is one evqueue for each app, which may be made up of multiple workers. I don't know the code, though

does celery have anyway in which i can restrict payload size (args and kwargs) of tasks?
