Is there a way to see what time a task started?

malinoff: Yeah, that's the way I was doing it. I've moved to a group, and wanted to see if there was an easier way.

Hmm. That _might_ work. I'll still need to store it somewhere though, since I'm doing a group.apply_async(), and then using the result id for ajax updates.

I'm looking into how flower does it.

so if you're using TRACK_STARTED, there must be task.started attribute contains the timestamp

or I could be wrong and you should use that state defined in celery.events.state to track timestamps

Okay, so it looks like the event stuff is on the Task, not the Result.

Might just stuff the id/start into redis. Thanks though malinoff.
