When I use apply_async with process the program hangs. (http://paste.debian.net/47002/) The program hangs in the join. Why this happens?

Celery is strange. In my code, if I execute "test_hello()" before "test_helo_proc()", my code hangs in the "proc.join()". If I don't execute "test_hello()", my code runs properly. (http://paste.debian.net/47058/) Why this happens?

does it make any sense to use celery with ALWAYS_EAGER permanently enabled?

how can I have shared state for the tasks?

ionelmc: the thing is I need to use a 3rd party library which uses threads internally

ionelmc: I'm trying to find a way around so that the library won't break my web server

ionelmc: but most of the calls would be blocking, I'll need the result for the request response

people from twisted suggested me to use their reactor, but I don't know how it compares to celery. They seem almost the same to me, and if so, I'd rather go with the facto standard django solution
