cbeams: hi chris, i changed the app icon so it has a white rounded background and added all missing sizes, should i check it in or do u prefer that i send them to u by mail? maybe raul can go over it to improve it, but i think its better then transparent background
      • cbeams
cool. how about just attaching them to that issue
      • (so that Raul also sees them)
      • I'll try integrating them locally
      • in any case,
      • and if it looks better, I'll check it in.
      • or if you've already tried it
      • you could just check them in on top of the images already there.
      • and mention that issue in the commit comment
      • i.e. with a "See #67" in the commit comment body
      • mkarrer: curious, why did you op me just now?
      • mkarrer
i lost my op as well... irc disconnects often... i do it via ->/msg chanserv op #bitsquare mkarrer u can try if that works for you as well, not sure probably just for the cahnnel owner
      • cbeams
yeah, freenode's recommendation is to just stay de-op'd unless you actually need op controls, then /msg chanserv when you do.
      • basically, no downside to remaining de-op'd by default.
      • (so far as I can tell)
      • mkarrer
i tried the img out with a build (no more missing img warning) and looks better IMO, but would be good if raul could improve a bit
      • cbeams
great. then please just check it in.
      • mkarrer
i put it into the issue, and sent u a mail with the zip
      • ah ok then i check it in

      • cbeams: is there a way to get the src in the jars available via the IDE or do you need to deploy the jars with src (bitcoinJ, TomP2P). with local jars i could assign the src
      • cbeams
mkarrer: the best thing is to deploy the -sources jars alongside the regular jars. I had an issue doing this with the bitcoinj snapshot, so skipped it.
      • otherwise, you should be able to configure IDEA to point to these directly
      • would have to look to see where the option is, but I'm pretty sure it's there somewhere.
      • mkarrer
yes that should be enough, dont remember how i did it before... will check out again
      • ah have it, its in the details pane of the libs, you can add with + sources and docs

hearn: re: javapackager-created Windows executables, does a missing MSVCP100.dll ring any bells? http://imgur.com/1Q9ZvDc
      • hearn
        yes
      • let me dig out the solution for you
      • it's a bug in 8u20
      • cbeams_ has quit
      • cbeams joined the channel
      • I managed to make a workaround that fixes the installer. If you need to ship an app with 8u20 in EXE form using InnoSetup, do this:
      • 1) Run javapackager with the -verbose command, which is quite helpful. It'll not only teach you how to set up icons and the like but also dump an ISS file that you can edit into a temporary directory.
      • 2) Go to dll-files.com and download the zip of msvcp100.dll and unzip it to your JRE image directories (there are two copies installed by the Java installer for some reason on Windows!), so it's in the bin directory.
      • 3) Open it and find the [Files] section then add two lines like this below the first one:
      • Source: "FooApp\runtime\jre\bin\plugin2\msvcr100.dll"; DestDir: "{app}"; Flags: ignoreversion
      • Source: "FooApp\runtime\jre\bin\msvcp100.dll"; DestDir: "{app}"; Flags: ignoreversion
      • This will copy the relevant files from the modified JRE image into the right directory for the launcher app.
      • btw the bug is marked as resolved in JIRA
