beets just crashed during an import and left 2 files of an album behind, can i get beets to integrate them to the already imported album?

the faq answers "…enter a MusicBrainz ID?" by saying "paste it into beets." it doesn't hint at how to paste it. but when beet imports Unknown Artist/81 (8 items) and proceeds with "Importing as-is", how do i accomplish the pasting?

You can specify them manually post-import using `beet modify` (or by adding them to the files before importing).

It won't do so by default.

Ie., it's either set in the beet config, or it's given as a command line toggle.

i imported a batch of about 10 albums. it found matches for all but 3 and reported Importing as-is. for those. two of those are ok but the other is currently tagged Unknown. i'd like to fix that

No, but you told beets to import as-is by telling it to import as-is.

I forgot that that's also a point-in-time where beets gives you the option.

(Since I don't add stuff to beets that isn't already MBID tagged, I don't see that prompt often if at all.)

sampsyo: regarding the faq about the multi disc releases. if i have a various artists directory collection with different years for different tracks so i have one album with multiple years as my folder that a few tracks are included in will the heiristics likely understand them as one?
