Yep. Two of the now three missing dependencies used to be in AUR3.

i don't submit package statistics, or use the AUR for my beets install.

i figure a lot don't, so that ends up being quite a few beets users!

hi all. i have been using beets for quite a while now (a few years) with minimum configs. i have noticed latley that the default date when importing changed from '1990' style to '2011-10-11'

i kinda like it and wondering how does one cycele through the entire collection and change all dates to the above new format

can anyone recommend the preffered waY?

nope

so you have to re-write ALL tags?

mbsync will query musicbrainz for new information and thus syncs their metadata to your files

the 'new' date format is depending on their data, since it needs to be added with them

And it also depends on file/tagging format.

(E.g., some tagging formats use a YEAR attribute which in the specs is defined to only be the YYYY, so even if MB knew down to the second when it was released, it would still only have the year stored in the tags.)
