Guy how do I fix "echonest: Echo Nest API Error 4: artist - Missing required parameter: "artist" [HTTP 400]" error I do "beet echonest"
      • neomilium has quit
      • pprkut
Qann: you can't. Echonest retired their service yesterday
      • oh no, wait, I'm off a month

pprkut... Bullocks... Am I ever in time? :D Fortunately I had scanned a bit of my archive before.
      • But still...
      • pprkut
it should still work until end of May
      • not sure what else might be wrong though
      • Qann
I've ran yet another screen beet echonest just in case.
      • Hmm, question: I've about 100 GB of AudioBooks and there're no tag infos in them or over the web. How can I import them under $$/AudioBooks/Bookname structure. I am afraid beets might mess them up.
      • ThomW
        it works for me
      • NOTICE: [beets] jackwilsdon opened pull request #1978: Improve quiet logging for convert plugin (master...fix-convert-quiet) https://github.com/beetbox/beets/pull/1978
      • Freso
Qann: Consider switching to using AcousticBrainz instead of EN?
      • Qann: And you should be able to check for the "audiobook" secondary release type in MusicBrainz' data and use that to funnel those releases to an "AudioBooks" directory.
      • Qann
Freso: I do that as well. I had lots of gb's that beets couldn't recognize. So I was trying all available methods.
      • Freso
(If the audiobooks are not in MusicBrainz yet - go ahead and add them yourself! :))
      • Qann
Freso :D Lol, I did some adding on musicbrainz. It's drag to add them one by one. :D
      • Freso
Qann: Look into the "add cluster as release" if you're adding "MP3 audiobooks".
      • Ehm.
      • It's a plugin for Picard.
      • Qann
        I'll give it a try Frederik :D
      • Freso
        "Freso", plz.
      • NOTICE: [beets] pkel opened issue #1979: hook.py: encoding error https://github.com/beetbox/beets/issues/1979
      • Qann: I added https://musicbrainz.org/release/e0159605-1e1e-4... in less than half an hour, I think.
      • (Minus the cover art scanning.)
      • Qann
Coverart is not a must on my book. Not for Audiobooks at least. I have them listed as "0841 - Isaac Asimov - The Foundation Series Book 5 - Foundation and Earth" OR "R. A. Salvatore\The Dark Elf Trilogy" structure. Recognizing them would be sufficient. I should give it a try
      • Freso
And https://github.com/jesus2099/konami-command/blo... includes a tool to do a regular expression search/replace in all track titles so you can change something like "001 Salka Valka"→('s/^0*([1-9][0-9]*) (Salka Valka)$/$2, del $1/')→"Salka Valka, del 1"
