hi. I have a question about systematically renaming folders and files with beets

i have an ending in my file extentions in the filename itself, ie. before the .mp3 or whatever. I want to keep this suffix of 1 or 2 characters in the filename. I know that the field 'path' shows the path and filename, is there any possibility to just keep my suffix?

with 'beet move'

maybe an option would be to have that suffix stored as a custom tag in each file so it could be used in the renaming template.
