derwin: Hmm, that is strange. My only guess is the lengths -- otherwise I don't see why it would override the indices.

Or fingerprinting?

and would like it to only show the result from logging

madmouser1: you might take a look at the convert plugin, which also calls out to ffmpeg and suppresses its output

or the "audioread" package (a dependency)

i tried "beet mod <singleton-query> mb_albumid=<mb-id-of-target-album>"

got it. need to set all those: "mb_albumartistid mb_albumid mb_artistid mb_releasegroupid"
