I think the value proposition for Opus is pretty cool for streaming/web stuff -- it's got a neat bitrate-scalability feature

opus is the successor to SILK and Vorbis, it's main advantage is being able to handle voice and music

The main reason to use it over Vorbis is the greatly reduced memory usage

Oh, and also, it sounds better and produces smaller size files
