hey so i saw in config file you can set asciinema as a subdomain

what is that all about?

just cname to your profile?

curious as to that

you can set custom API url, if you have your own asciinema site instance running somewhere and you want the recordings to be uploaded there instead of to asciinema.org

can heroku handle this or should I just run nginx off vm?

asciinema.org runs in Brightbox Cloud, on Ubuntu boxes, with nginx in front

we have Dockerfile + docker-compose.yml for Docker fans

I know some people use it, I haven't tried it though

and actually I haven't heard about instances running on heroku, but it's doable

yeah i don't see anything here to indicate it wouldn't work

there's small program written in C that needs to be compiled, so you may need custom buildpack

i'll do a little research, tbh i rather spin up a vm

however this binary (+ libtsm) will soon be replaced by a nodejs script (which reuses code from the web player)
