hello janeted, I amde a few shortcuts yesterday, as described in issue 2153. I can add more to it if you want, or we can call it a first batch
janeted
yes I saw those.
would jumping to the above / below be easy to add?
actually - just above I guess since hitting enter drops you do the one below
sylvainc
janeted: does it mean: start edition of subttitle above?
just as if user clicked on it?
janeted
yes
sylvainc
ok

janeted: got an extra question about the jumping shortcuts:
janeted
sure sylvainc
sylvainc
right now, enter creates a new sub at the end, only in transcribing phase,
not when timeline is shown
do you think we should keep this, also for creating subtitle before
or shall we keep the shortcuts consistent
?
or...
keep the enter shortcut as is
and add the jump fcuntion, slightly different, always inserting before/after
(I think it is nicer to have rlated shortcuts for jumping/inserting before after, such as up/down arrow, or one key modifying whether it is above or after

sorry sylvainc - kids came home and I got distracted
so I don't think we should change the enter behavior
but like say having the related shortcuts sounds good
sylvainc
ok, cool janeted, how about alt+arrow?
and never inserting subtitles,
since we already have shortcuts for that
janeted
sure that seems like it would be pretty easy to do / remember
sylvainc
(this shortcut is in the proposed list for move previeous/next line, we could use it for going to previous/next sub)
janeted
yes

sylvainc
so janeted, I just pushed the jump shortcuts and the typo in the subtitle menu (capitalization)
janeted
thanks sylvainc - I'll finish going through those branches now
very excited about those changes
sylvainc
