Popcorn seems the most feature complete, and it's a mozilla project, which we have (had) close ties to

so we had a bee-line to the popcorn devs

they were able to respond to feature requests / bugs in near-realtime

I've never seen mediaelement.js before

does it play vimeo, youtube, all of that?

it appears to only work with local video files

it does youtube, not sure about others

Popcorn was very focused around the idea of building video player plugins for any video player type

so that felt like a natural fit, too

i don't really have anything against popcorn, just wondering why it was chosen

there's a couple issues with it, but I'm sure that would happen with anything

I know part of Amara's grant with Mozilla had to do with us working with Popcorn

so they're very helpful

it will run a few of the add_description , etc. tasks and then just stop on our gauge_stats

possibly but i would think we would get errors

we can kill the gauges for the time being if you want
