Ok new question, I want to write a plug function in my plugs.ex file, but the particular plug function i want to write needs to use render/2

I don't exactly know how to give it access to this, is it possible to do "use MyApp.Plugs, render: <pass render func>"

something along those lines

ok i see what I've done wrong

basically, controller render doesn't output a prepared conn, it actually dispatches it out

so that means we really have limited scope to operate on conn in an 'after_filter' way
