AndresVP: yip lose_race is the expected release cause for devices in a ring group that didn't answer the call

jsdnz: what about normal_temporary_failure? It looks like it’s network related.

andresVP: normal_temporary_failure can be pretty "normal" as well

depends on which leg of the call it is applies to .. for instance kazoo can generate these sometimes at the end of when playing prompts

MrFrenchyPants: Is the ring group strategy "In order" not supposed to go to the next in line on the next call?
For me it only passes to next in line when no one answers. Is this intended?
MrFrenchyPants
mort-jw: yup, that's the normal behaviour, you can either have them all ring at the same time or one after another if nobody answers with ring groups. What you are describing sounds more like call queues/ACD

Ah I see, is that an feature thats available in kazoo at this time?
btw I moved to a new approach, the server now has an interface direct to the public. works like a charm!
MrFrenchyPants
mort-jw: there are no official call queues/ACD feature at the moment sadly, we haven't got sponsoring for that feature yet :(
and not enough demand to justify engineering time developing it internally
mort-jw
understod. if we would be intressted in sponsoring, how would we go forward?
